Caleg Pencuri Motor
Saya gak tau mo ketawa ato mo mengeluh pas baca berita yang satu ini di tempo interaktif. Ada caleg ketangkap polisi karena kedapatan lagi nyuri motor di Pulogadung.
Kok bisa ada caleg nyuri motor? Kok bisa ada pencuri motor jadi caleg?
Coba aja pikir gimana jadinya kalo yang model begini jadi dewan perwakilan rakyat? Pasti mikirnya cuma mo curi curi terus. lama2 ntar bukan vox populi vox dei lagi tapi malah jadi vox populi vox pencuri..
Begini ini nih yang bikin Indonesia majunya pelan kayak siput lagi sakit perut.

PRT, stand up for your rights!
In August 2007, two maids from Lampung, working for a family in Jatinegara, were beaten and scalded with hot water and locked in a cabinet for drinking the milk of their employer's children.
In July 2008, a housewife (with a history of mental illness) beat her maid to death in South Kedoya, West Jakarta.
National Network for Domestic Workers Advocacy has recorded 412 cases of domestic worker abuse between 2000-2007.
Not to mention some domestic workers receive very low pay for very heavy work. No weekly holidays and have few opportunities to socialize outside their workplace.

What should we do???
I personally think that we should have legal protection for domestic workers.
We should also change the employers' perspective, domestic workers are professional workers...not slaves!

Begitu masuk kantor tadi pagi langsung deh orang kanan kiri pada nanya, "valentine ngapain aja?"

Ngapain aja ya? Pastinya saya ama Ahyen sama2 punya konsep yang sama, merayakan kasih sayang itu gak perlu pake hari khusus dan gak perlu overacting pula.
Sooo, kemarin itu kami mam ketoprak sambil ngobrol2 di rumah, malemnya nonton live rock band yang super keren di summarecon. what a totally fun day. Rock on bebe!

Sempat baca di kompas.com soal Julia Perez yang mo cerai dengan suaminya gara2 merasa tidak dapat kasih sayang.

haiya jupe jupe...what do you mean by saying that? Do you want your husband to become one of your fans? Is that your definition of love? I really hope not.
Banyak orang di dunia ini mengira cinta adalah pemenuhan kebutuhan ego yang harus dipuaskan. Padahal sebetulnya semua harus berjalan terbalik, cinta adalah pemberian diri yang melawan egoisme dan kepentingan diri sendiri. Menurut opini saya, Tuhan Yesus memberi contoh cinta paling murni waktu Dia memberikan diri-Nya buat orang lain tanpa pamrih.
Jadi mikir, bener2 sebuah ironi...orang yang mengejar cinta untuk dirinya sendiri bakal hidup tanpa cinta sejati. Orang yang memberi cinta kepada orang lain justru nantinya hidup penuh dengan cinta.

just a morning thought
Grace Karen Manuputty first thought in the morning is, "The bed is soo good. Why do I have to wake up???"
She is really bothered by the new government's rule that forces all schools around Jakarta to start at 6.30 am.
Her reason? She deeply believes that her brain needs more sleep in order to function well throughout the day.
She refuses the idea of sleeping earlier. How can a teacher who teaches 12 classes sleep early??? Each class has assignments that she needs to read. Each students has works that she needs to check. HOW CAN SHE SLEEP EARLIER? If you know the answer, please kindly tell her in person.

Super hero?
Tadi sempat ngeliat anak kelas 1 SD lagi main badminton. Pas dia lagi kewalahan mengembalikan bola lawan, ada temennya lari (ceritanya mo ngasih semangat gitu...) en dengan suara keras en muka serius temen itu bilang, "use your super power! Use your super power!"
Saya yang dengerin itu semua jadi senyum2 sendiri. Children and their imagination.
Tapi pikir2 emang enak kali ya kalo kita punya super power.
Mo gak mo jadi super hero yang punya super power?
Hmmm...konsep yang menggoda, tapi enggak deh...saya gak mo jadi super hero.
Why?
Pertama, semua hero punya kostum aneh dan ribet. Superman bajunya gak matching.
Belum lagi selalu ganti baju di box telepon. WHY? Kayak gak ada tempat lain aja.
Batman jubahnya gak banget.
Spiderman punya masalah dengan jaring2.
Megaloman berantem pake scarf dan rambut yang panjang terurai (how psycho is that?)
Catwoman? Hayaa..Siapa yang mau pake baju latex ketat dan berekor pula?
Kedua, super hero pada umumnya berkepribadian ganda. Bentar Clark Kent bentar Superman. WHO ARE YOU REALLY? kenapa juga mo menutup identitas sedemikian rupa kalo ganti bajunya di BOX TELFON yang transparan? Hellloooo...
Ketiga, Super hero kebanyakan gak punya pacar...atopun kalo punya bakal hidup sengsara..dikit2 diculik ama penjahat. Emang enak?
Hehehehe...
Mending jadi manusia biasa aja deh.
